Preparation Book @ AWS DVA CO2 ( AWS Dev Associate Exam )
Student: Hi, I wanted to ask about the AWS Certified Developer — Associate (DVA-C02) exam. Can you tell me more about it 🙂?
Teacher: Absolutely! The AWS Certified Developer — Associate exam, also known as DVA-C02, is designed for individuals who perform a developer role and have at least one year of hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications on the AWS platform.
Student: That sounds fun …!! How many questions are there, and what’s the format?
Teacher: The exam consists of 65 questions. They are a mix of multiple-choice and multiple-response questions.
Student: How does scoring work? Do I need to get all 65 questions correct to pass?
Teacher: No, you don’t need to get all 65 questions correct. Out of the 65 questions, only 50 are scored. The remaining 15 questions are unscored; they are used by AWS for research purposes to test future questions. These unscored questions do not affect your final score.
Student: Do we know which are the 15 questions — so that we can skip them 😉?
Teacher: AWS won’t reveal them so , You will not know which questions are unscored, so it’s important to try your best on all 65 questions. To pass the exam, you need to score at or above the passing score set by AWS, which is generally around 720 out of 1000. The exact number of questions you need to answer correctly to achieve this score can vary based on the difficulty of the exam version you receive, but aiming to correctly answer at least 70–75% of the questions is a good target.
Student: That makes sense. Is there any negative marking if I get a question wrong 😥?
Teacher: No, there is no negative marking on the AWS DVA-C02 exam. You won’t lose points for incorrect answers, so it’s always best to attempt every question, even if you’re unsure of the answer.
Student: Great! How should I prepare for the exam?
Teacher: Preparation is key! Here are some tips: TO BE UPDATED
Student: That’s really helpful. I’ll make sure to follow these tips. Anything else I should know?
Teacher: Just remember to stay calm during the exam, manage your time well, and review any questions you’re unsure about. The exam is designed to test your understanding and hands-on experience, so focus on mastering the core services and concepts. Good luck with your preparation!
Student: Thanks a lot! I feel much more prepared now.
Teacher: You’re welcome! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions as you continue preparing.
Thank you
